Priorities

Agriculture

Central Saanich’s agricultural land is one of its defining strengths. I want to protect working farmland while recognizing that protecting agriculture also means supporting the practical conditions that allow farms to remain productive and viable over the long term.

Housing & Growth

Central Saanich will continue to change, and where growth happens matters. I support focusing new housing primarily in appropriate existing village centres and serviced areas, while making sure development fits infrastructure capacity, community context and long-term planning.

Infrastructure

Good local government gets the fundamentals right. Roads, water, sewer, drainage and other infrastructure need consistent maintenance and long-term planning so growth doesn’t outpace the services that support it.

Responsible Spending

Residents should expect careful scrutiny of municipal spending and good value for their tax dollars. Keeping taxes artificially low by postponing necessary maintenance can leave larger costs for the future. I favour a practical, long-term approach.

Stewardship

Council decisions can shape Central Saanich for decades. I want to protect the qualities people value today while preparing thoughtfully for the community that future generations will inherit.
